About Us
This new international Association “International Aircraft Builders And Flying Club – IABAFC” was founded in Austria in October 2019. The founders have more than 40 years experience with aviation. In Europe as well as in the USA.
Austria, a German language international, independent and neutral thinking country in the heart of Europe has the highest legal standards to make things possible. In business as well as for international organizations and clubs. In Austria persons and entities from all over the world and from foreign countries can become members of an Austrian club.
All that with the highest standards of our planet, worldwide. Vienna (Wien), the Austrian capital is often rated as the best place to live at on Earth. A lot of UN related organizations and conferences are here at home. When it comes to cultural events and activities, Austria with Vienna (Wien) is one of the first places. For example the “Wiener Opernball” is an absolute highlight. But also technological. Rotax, Red Bull, Glock, Infinion and many others are well known brands and global players with outstanding quality and reliability, known as one of the first companies in their métier.
The first seaplane was an Austrian one what took off in the bay of Pula in the Mediterranean, at that time. More than 8,500 fighter planes BF109 were built in Wiener Neustadt. Today the home of Diamond airplanes is here. Aeronautics started with balloons lighter than air 1783 in Austria.

So, aviation tradition and experience together with the highest level of technology, culture, legal standards, and international approach led us to the decision to found this Club in Austria.
But the activities of the IABAFC are not limited to Europe and the USA. We strive to get a strong stand in other countries too. And we are really open to aviation members, pilots and aircraft builders from all over the world.
